Study on the Branches of Axillary Arteries of Korean adult

Abstract
|
|
|
This study presents variations in the origins of the branches of the axillary arteries in 52 Korean. Both
the right and left sides were studied so that a total of 104 arteries were observed.
1. The highest thoracic artery arose from the first part of the axillary artery in 83.6 % . 2. The thoracoacromial artery arose from the second part of the axillary artery in 68.3%. 3. The lateral thoracic artery arose from the second part of the axillary artery in 53.8%.
4. The anterior circumflex humeral artery arose from the third part of the axillary artery in 66.3%. 5. The posterior circumflex humeral artery arose from the third part of the axillary in 53.8%. and
from a common trunk with the anterior circumflex humeral artery in 22.3%.
6. The subscapular artery arose from the third part of the axillary artery in 68.4%. 7. The five axillary branches ocurred most often and in 490/
